fortunately she noticed
before it began
he never quite said he did,
he wasn’t really a man.
Her love had to be stopped now
Or she would land hard.
emotions looked too blasé;
he had to stand guard.
happiness can last so long
with the true intent;
never let him overtake
that sweetened resent.
the overpowering grip has,
but two open hearts.
both focused on near future;
only one knows the parts.
outlasting one another
visualizes truth.
Picking over destroys-
and shows this is youth.
understanding doesn’t count
time can only lie..
the sweet fall only allows
an unassured “goodbye.”
